Hey all! First off, Happy New Year and I hope your 2020 is the best year yet. It’s crazy to think I’ve had this blog for two years now. I wanted to start this year off with a short post to talk mainly about planning out my travels, so it can double as a PSA and a personal reminder.
My main travel planning goal for 2020 is to have at least one trip per month lined up. So far, I’ve been able to lock in plans for the first half of the year. The trips will range from the standard weekend warrior to multi-week full-fledged travel, from budgeted logistics to a little more luxury. Regardless of where the travels take me, I’ll do my best this year to add a lot a of new locations.
In making the case for continuous improvement, I always look back at what I write to see how I can make it better. Aside from planning the trips, I’ll look to improve posts by:
In addition to what I’ll personally be doing, I’m always looking for feedback and questions from others. Nothing is off limits; from ‘have you thought about adding this?’ to ‘where do you find the time to do this?‘ to ‘what do you use to pay for this?’
Please don’t hesitate to leave a comment, direct message, email, whatever! It’s a win-win.
Planning trips this year will be interesting since it will involve much more award flight and point-redemption purchases. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a big time fan of credit cards, frequent flyer miles and elite statuses. Therefore, this is a year to do some cashing out. How about a round trip from Orlando to Tokyo for an equivalent point value of $500? Anyone?
As far as credit cards go, I have been a loyal Chase cardholder for some time. With my quad-lineup set and the recent announcement of the Chase Reserve, I’ve begun dipping my feet into the American Express pool of cards. Exciting times people!
All in all, planning out for 2020 is in full swing. Half of the year is set, and I’m looking forward to what’s in store. Hope to see you out there!
